November News

RUTS NORTH In November

Club meeting Tuesday November 8th at Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave. We will be going over the Club Christmas parts, the rest of the November Races, and club officers for 2012

Membership renewal is coming soon, January you need to start sending in your membership dues for 2012. You can mail or renew online via the website. For potential new members please go to the club website www.rutsnorth.org read and send in your application.

November Races, the next three weekends RUTS North will be at the last three District 36 cross country races. Lillipution HS, Stampede HS and the Wilseyville HS. Have a weekend off come out and join us.

Club event for Novermber is the Lillipution Hare Scrambles hosted by Dirt Diggers MC we would like to invite all members to come out and enjoy both days of racing fellowship. There will be a special memorial for downed rider Troy Collins how died last week due to head injuries. Troy leaves a wife and three kids and will be very much missed. We would like to encourage all club members to come out and be apart of this memory of Troy. Also a trust fund is being created for his family and if you would like to donate to this fund please contact Elizabeth Lampam for more info.

Club elections are coming soon, we will go over more this upcoming meeting and will have election in January. We need people for President, Vice President, Secretary and treasurer. Officers need to attend at least 75% of meetings, understand philosophy of RUTS North and be a member in good standing. We ask if your considering a position to please go to the website and read the club bylaws.

Last months news
 
a)      Fred reminded how important it is for RUTS to be present at events because it will bring in people
b)      More focus on interactions between RUTS chapters
a.       Bryan Lowney is already working with North Bay
c)      The district 36 sanctioning meeting is September 24th
a.       RUTS will attend to reserve August 18th – 19th 2012 for the annual RUTS dual sport ride
d)     District 36 suggested/offered to host a track day on the same day and at the same place as RUTS will have their dual sport ride
a.       May be a good idea and bring in more riders
e)      Need to ask District 36 if “Chapel services offered” can be added to the small test on the race event fliers
f)       New table will be purchased for the use of displaying bibles etc. during races and events
g)      New easy-up needed.  Will wait to purchase until spring when they go on sale
h)      2 new banners have been ordered
i)        New design for new RUTS baseball hat is needed.  Everyone to come with ideas
j)        Southern California RUTS have new RUTS race jerseys for $55

Thanks to David Godman for hosting a October trail ride last week and thanks to all who rode with him.

RUTS North was in attendance at the North Bay MC Lost Coast Dual Sport Ride last week as well.

Next meeting October 11th and Next month November 8th at 7:00 Pm at the Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave in Sacaramento.

We need volunteers for a November trail ride, understanding the weather is becoming more chilly and rain and snow can be in the mix. One suggestion is to have a small one day BBQ ride at one of the state parks. All bikes regardless of red or green stickers can now ride the parks. SEPTEMBER

HIGH SIERRA DUAL SPORT
Thank you everyone that helped out in this years High Sierra, this years ride has to be the best High Sierra we have done to date. We had more voluteers than ever, thank you all for giving yourself in order to make this years ride our best.

Our support staff of Jim Kennedy, Dorinda Godman, Greg Bates, Greg Fambrini who drove the support trucks for all the riders. We had one broken bike and one minor injury that caused us to truck two bikes from Topaz to Sopiago not bad stats. This support drivers where on top of everything and should be very proud of themselfs.

Our support riders of Bryan Lowney, Fred Sumrall, David Godman, Drew Ramsey, Robin Hoegerman, Joe Wytman, Tiare Hoegerman, Steve Rynders, Doug Lampman and special help from Elizabeth Lampan, Jamie Lowney, Darlene Sumrall, Adam Ponious. Everyone did their job and did it well putting the ride first.

This year we donated $5.00 to the Distict 36 LAO fund, Kraig Traum represented the D36 and bought out the D36 KTM bike raffel in which they sold $220 worth of tickets. Our final donation will be discussed at the September meeting if you would like to make impute plaese feel free to attend.

September 13th club meeting at Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave 7Pm. We will discuss any upcoming club rides and races.

JUNE-JULY

RUTS North Big ride was a hit, perfect attendence for what we needed. No dust most days, Doug and Tim designed a great route for novice and A level riders. Elizabeth and Brad Jones did a great job on the food. For photos of the event check out http://www.yogile.com/ktywvh3p

Next club meeting July 12th at Round Table Pizza off howe ave in Sacramento. Steve Rynders will be taking over duties of treasure from Greg Fambrini and Louise Olson is our new secretary. Next meeting we will be going over the High Sierra Dual Sport ride August 20-21. This is our only fund raiser for the year no more crab feed the High Sierra is our fund raiser for the club and we will be donating $5.00 for every rider that signs up to the District 36 LAO fund.
We need your help to put this ride on, we need people for sign ups, people to drive our support trucks and possably doing a lunch on Saturday or Sunday. For more information on the ride contact Tim at ktm200@volcano.net 209-296-6588

STILL MAY

RUTS North Big Ride is June 10-12th, coming very soon. We are having a pre ride this Saturday the 28th of May to go over the route and camping. Feel free to come out with us to ride or help design this years ride.

June 5th CERA will have a free Enduro, CERA has been a long time club in District 36 and has helped support our club as well. If you have never rode an D36 Enduro this is your shot. They are asking for a donation to ride and you do not need a D36 Card. CERA is also asking for help on the event so if you cant ride it please help out a fellow motorcycle club. Next club meeting June 14th at Round Table Pizza, direction on the righ hand side of this blog. We will be discussing the High Sierra Dual Sport Ride as this may be our only fund raiser for the year as well as using Central Coast RUTS as a partner to help expand the ride.

August 20-21st RUTS North and Central Coast RUTS will be hosting a dual sport that will be a fund raising event for both clubs. We need club members to help with sign ups, driving trucks and advertising. For more ways to help contact Tim Sumrall at ktm200@volcano.net

MAY NEWS

The trail rides have started, May 13th-15th RUTS Santa Rosa will host their second year event near Clear Lake, Ca at the Dear Valley camp ground. RUTS Santa Rosa flyer This is a family event $30.00 per adult, 15$ per children 12-5 and kids under 5 free. The money goes to food and prizes for the event.

Next is the RUTS North Big ride at Elkins Flat outside of Jackson, Ca June 10th-12th. RUTS North Big Ride Flyer  This event is a family event, riding for all skill levels. This is also a free event but if you would like to join us in our main course dinner please bring $5 per person and let us know as soon as you can how many people plan to eat with us. March Madness

Trail riding season is upon us, starting next month through June RUTS North will have a trail ride. Next months club meeting April 12th held at Round Table Pizza off How Ave in Sacramento for all to attend.

If you have not renewed your membership please do so to recieve the monthly Email notices. At this time our current officers are Elizabeth Lampman-President, Tim Sumrall- Vice President, Greg Fambrini- Treasurer. We are looking for somebody to fill the secretary position, we need somebody that is willing to attend 75% of the club meetings, take good notes and work on the club blog.

Upcoming trail rides: April 9th Steve and Teri Rynders are having a fun day at the Rynders Ranch located in Acampo. MAP  This is a fun ride for kids and family. For more info contact Stever at

April 16th, 17th Central Coast RUTS annual Fun Run at Frank Rains OHV. Flyer This is a great family fun ride with a great club.
May 14th 15th North Bay RUTS will have their second annual Generic ride at CC Camp near Clear Lake. Another great family ride, days of riding, food and family fun. Contact Brian Lowney for more info.
June 10th, -12th the 1st of what hopes to be many Big Ride held at Elkins Flat in the Eldorado NF. This will be a family ride that will consist of free riding on Friday, main trail ride with games on Saturday and free riding on Sunday. More info will be posted as we get closer so mark your calendars. Also we will need as many club members to attend to help make this ride happen, we will have a work day memorial day weekend more info to follow.
August 20th and 21st RUTS North Dual Sport ride, we need all club members to work the event. This was our only event that made us revenue for last year so our goal is to make this a yearly event. With the Crab Feed we just broke even, this event allows us to earn needed revenue for the coming year. Please mark this date more info will follow.

February News

RUTS NORTH update for February.
Time for yearly renewal of club dues, if you enjoy the club and want to be a part of us for 2011 then please renew this month.  To renew click on this renew link, you can renew via paypal or mail it in.
Officer positions are up for reelection next meeting Tuesday March 8th at the Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave in Sacramento. (Map link)  Positions available are treasurer, secretary, vice president and president. If you would like to serve as an officer please pray about this first. An officer needs to attend at least eight of twelve meeting; this is not a position for new members. In these positions one needs to know and understand the club goals and what it stands for. This is not something to take lightly but needs prayer and understanding from God and your family.
Events for the coming months are follows; we need someone to host a March trail ride. Anyone interested please contact us at ktm200@volcano.net . March 19th North Bay RUTS will host a dual sport ride from Santa Rosa to Knoxville and back. The ride is free but please contacts Brian or Jamie Lowney if you plan to attend.
April 16th and 17th is the tentative date for the Central Coast RUTS Fun Run 2011 at Frank Rains OHV park outside of Patterson, CA. More info to come.
May 13th-15th North Bay RUTS will host the second year of the kickoff generic ride at CC Camp outside clear lake. Very good ride last year, very good trail route. More info will be posted when we get closer.
June 11th 12th RUTS North will be hosting a trail ride at Elkins Flat. Its are turn to give back and put on a ride for everyone to enjoy. We will need all members to help out at this one so mark your calendars for this week.
July 23rd 24th RUTS North planning to host the High Sierra dual sport ride. We will be looking for volunteers to help out. More info to be posted but this ride maybe our best event to earn income for the clubs resources so please keep this in the back of your head on working this ride.
Current members if you have not renewed your membership by March this will be your last email update until you renew your membership. All news will be posted on the website as always so no worries news and events will always be open for everyone to see.
