April News

RUTS NORTH APRIL NEWS


Club meeting April 10th at Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave in Sacramento. We will discus news for April, Club race in May and Club trail ride in June.

April race is the Shasta Dam GP April 14-15

April Club ride Central Coast RUTS Fun Run very fun event please think about attending. Also please let CC RUTS know if your going asap for head count on food.

May Club Race Leoni Meadow Hare Scambles This is a club event that we will be running the gate fees for the promoter of the event. Anyone that would like to help contact Doug Lampman at 209-625-6738. For helping with this event all current paid members will be able to race for free, race entry will be paid for. 

We need volunteers for a club ride in June and July, Contact Steve Rynders 209-986-6265 if you would like to help.

March News

News for March

Club Meeting March 13 at the Round Table Pizza off Arden and Howe ave at 7PM we will go over pit shirts and events for April, May and June and start working on the August dual sport.

Next club race is the Phantom Hare Scrambles in Hollister Hills OHV park at the upper ranch March 17-18

RUTS Central Coast RUTS will host the Fun Run April 20-22 more info to follow.

Febuary News

RUTS North news for February

Club meeting February 14th 7PM at the Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave in Sacramento 

Cub dues are due, current and former members have until March to renew their membership to take part in the 2012 benefits. This years RUTS North will pay your entry for the Lenoi Meadows Hare Scrambles this May 27th and 28th. Cub members that don't race we are considering buying pits shirts for the event. 

All new members will receive a RUTS North hat regardless of when you renew or become a member.
Races this month include E Street HS  Feb 11-12th, Picacho Creek National HS Feb 18-19, Rock Horse 100 H&H Feb 25-26. RUTS North will be at hand for pre race prayer and Saturday night worship come one come all we will be there.

We need volunteers to host a trail ride for March. Anyone interested contact Steve Rynders or Doug Lampman It's believed that Central Coast RUTS will host a ride in April, RUTS North will host the May ride by the Lowney's and we will again have our big ride in June.

RUTS North has been asked to run the gate fee's at this year Leoni Meadows Hare Scrambles so we are looking for club members to help out. Leoni Meadows is a Seventh Day Adventist resort that has graciously allowed District 36 to host a race this year and RUTS North will be apart of this.

January News

RUTS NORTH NEWS FOR JANUARY

Club meeting every Tuesday 7PM at the Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave in Sacramento. We will be going over our goals for 2012 and going over nominations for 2012 officers. Positions open are President, VP, Treasuer and Secretary.

Club membership is due for everyone for the 2012 year, you can renew by sending in your dues or by paypal and can be done by visiting our website http://www.rutsnorth.org/join.html

Congradsulations to Fred Sumrall 2nd A Masters Cross Country, Steve Rynders 5th B Senior and Elizabeth Lampman 2nd C Womens Vet for their awards at the District 36 banquet last Saturday.

We need a volunteer for a trail ride for the month of January, Febuary and March so start thinking of where you want to ride. The club will be attending the Prairie City Grand Prix hosted by Polka Dots MC this coming Saturday and Sunday feel free to come out and join us and see what RUTS North does at the races.

November News

RUTS NORTH In November

Club meeting Tuesday November 8th at Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave. We will be going over the Club Christmas parts, the rest of the November Races, and club officers for 2012

Membership renewal is coming soon, January you need to start sending in your membership dues for 2012. You can mail or renew online via the website. For potential new members please go to the club website www.rutsnorth.org read and send in your application.

November Races, the next three weekends RUTS North will be at the last three District 36 cross country races. Lillipution HS, Stampede HS and the Wilseyville HS. Have a weekend off come out and join us.

Club event for Novermber is the Lillipution Hare Scrambles hosted by Dirt Diggers MC we would like to invite all members to come out and enjoy both days of racing fellowship. There will be a special memorial for downed rider Troy Collins how died last week due to head injuries. Troy leaves a wife and three kids and will be very much missed. We would like to encourage all club members to come out and be apart of this memory of Troy. Also a trust fund is being created for his family and if you would like to donate to this fund please contact Elizabeth Lampam for more info.

Club elections are coming soon, we will go over more this upcoming meeting and will have election in January. We need people for President, Vice President, Secretary and treasurer. Officers need to attend at least 75% of meetings, understand philosophy of RUTS North and be a member in good standing. We ask if your considering a position to please go to the website and read the club bylaws.

November News

Last months news
 
a)      Fred reminded how important it is for RUTS to be present at events because it will bring in people
b)      More focus on interactions between RUTS chapters
a.       Bryan Lowney is already working with North Bay
c)      The district 36 sanctioning meeting is September 24th
a.       RUTS will attend to reserve August 18th – 19th 2012 for the annual RUTS dual sport ride
d)     District 36 suggested/offered to host a track day on the same day and at the same place as RUTS will have their dual sport ride
a.       May be a good idea and bring in more riders
e)      Need to ask District 36 if “Chapel services offered” can be added to the small test on the race event fliers
f)       New table will be purchased for the use of displaying bibles etc. during races and events
g)      New easy-up needed.  Will wait to purchase until spring when they go on sale
h)      2 new banners have been ordered
i)        New design for new RUTS baseball hat is needed.  Everyone to come with ideas
j)        Southern California RUTS have new RUTS race jerseys for $55

Thanks to David Godman for hosting a October trail ride last week and thanks to all who rode with him.

RUTS North was in attendance at the North Bay MC Lost Coast Dual Sport Ride last week as well.

Next meeting October 11th and Next month November 8th at 7:00 Pm at the Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave in Sacaramento.

We need volunteers for a November trail ride, understanding the weather is becoming more chilly and rain and snow can be in the mix. One suggestion is to have a small one day BBQ ride at one of the state parks. All bikes regardless of red or green stickers can now ride the parks. If you would like to host a ride contact Elizabeth Lampan or Tim Sumrall

SEPTEMBER

HIGH SIERRA DUAL SPORT
Thank you everyone that helped out in this years High Sierra, this years ride has to be the best High Sierra we have done to date. We had more voluteers than ever, thank you all for giving yourself in order to make this years ride our best.

Our support staff of Jim Kennedy, Dorinda Godman, Greg Bates, Greg Fambrini who drove the support trucks for all the riders. We had one broken bike and one minor injury that caused us to truck two bikes from Topaz to Sopiago not bad stats. This support drivers where on top of everything and should be very proud of themselfs.

Our support riders of Bryan Lowney, Fred Sumrall, David Godman, Drew Ramsey, Robin Hoegerman, Joe Wytman, Tiare Hoegerman, Steve Rynders, Doug Lampman and special help from Elizabeth Lampan, Jamie Lowney, Darlene Sumrall, Adam Ponious. Everyone did their job and did it well putting the ride first.

This year we donated $5.00 to the Distict 36 LAO fund, Kraig Traum represented the D36 and bought out the D36 KTM bike raffel in which they sold $220 worth of tickets. Our final donation will be discussed at the September meeting if you would like to make impute plaese feel free to attend.

September 13th club meeting at Round Table Pizza off Howe Ave 7Pm. We will discuss any upcoming club rides and races.
